The place
In the early 14th century, Philippe le Bel transformed the manor known as the "château de Fécamp" into a royal residence; it was during a hunting expedition in the Halatte forest that a horse accident cost him his life in 1314. The site is listed as a historic monument and has been restored since 1984 by the Club du Vieux Manoir.
