The place
Club founded in 1824 in a neoclassical building designed by Decimus Burton, now classified as a Grade I monument, recognizable by its golden statue of Athena and its frieze inspired by the Parthenon. Known as one of the most austere in London, it counts among its members many figures of the establishment.
