The place
Romanesque-Byzantine basilica built on top of the Montmartre hill, completed in 1914 and consecrated in 1919; one of the most visited monuments in Paris. Designed by Paul Abadie in a Neo-Byzantine style, it is a classified historical monument. Erected as an expiatory temple, it holds the title of minor basilica.
