The place
Monumental statue of Christ standing at the top of Mount Corcovado, emblem of Rio de Janeiro and one of the seven new wonders of the world. Created in 1920 by architects Albert Caquot, Gheorghe Leonida, and Paul Landowski, it is classified as a heritage site by IPHAN.
