The place
Grand auditorium of Washington built in 1929 by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), one of the main concert halls in the capital. Designed by architect John Russell Pope in the neoclassical style, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and holds the status of National Historic Landmark. The building was erected to host the annual congress of the organization.
