The place
A Parisian baroque monument founded in 1657, the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital was built by the greatest architects of the Grand Siècle: Bruand, Le Vau, Le Muet, and their peers. Its monumental facades dominate the Boulevard de l'Hôpital in the heart of the 13th arrondissement, bearing witness to an exceptional architectural ambition dedicated to medicine.
