The place
Dominican Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, a masterpiece of Portuguese flamboyant Gothic architecture built from 1386, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was designed by architects Afonso Domingues and Mateus Fernandes and combines Gothic architecture with the Manueline style.
