Pont de la Tournelle

The place

Bridge connecting the Île Saint-Louis to the quai de la Tournelle, on the left bank of the Seine. Built in 1928, it is an arch bridge made of reinforced concrete. It succeeded a stone bridge from 1656, which was itself built on the site of a medieval wooden structure, demolished in 1918 after the flood of 1910.
