The place
Art Deco performance hall of the Rockefeller Center, inaugurated in 1932, one of the largest in the world. Designed by architect Edward Durell Stone, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and holds the statuses of New York City Landmark and National Historic Landmark. It is also among the contributing properties of a historic district.
