The place
Royal Palace of Caserta (1752), immense Baroque residence built for the Bourbons of Naples, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Transformed into a museum, it is now an Italian cultural asset. Its construction was entrusted to the architect Luigi Vanvitelli.
