The place
Large Art Deco complex of offices and shops in Midtown Manhattan, opened in the 1930s. Designed by architects Raymond Hood and Wallace K. Harrison, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and holds the statuses of National Historic Landmark and New York City Landmark. The whole, built at the initiative of the Rockefeller family, consists of nineteen buildings.
