Art museum founded in 1937 and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, whose spiral ramp is one of the manifestos of the modern movement. The building is designated a National Historic Landmark and a New York City Landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is among Wright's works recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
