The place
Film studios opened in 1945 in the Barona district, covering 7,000 m², in place of those of the ATA at the Triennale. Their two soundstages burned down before the first shot and were immediately rebuilt by Ferruccio Caramelli. Taken over in 1955 by the Corti family, they became Icet-De Paolis in 1961, and left Milan in 1965 for Cologno Monzese, where they founded Cinelandia — acquired by the Fininvest group in 1983.
