The place
Episcopal church erected at the corner of Wall Street and Broadway in lower Manhattan. Built on the site of a 17th-century Anglican parish, the current building was designed by Richard Upjohn in the Gothic Revival style and consecrated in 1846. It was for a long time the tallest building in the city and remains a major historical landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
