The place
Diesel-electric submarine of the Barbel class, the last non-nuclear submarine commissioned by the US Navy, preserved as a museum ship at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland. Entered service in 1959, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
