The place
Set of seventeen steel arrows covered with mosaics, the tallest at thirty meters, hand-built by Italian-American Simon Rodia over thirty-three years starting in the 1920s, using scrap metal, broken bottles, shells, and tiles. Rodia named them Nuestro Pueblo. This work of naïve architecture has multiple protections: National Historic Landmark, listing on the National Register of Historic Places, California Historical Landmark, and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
