32 Songijeong-ro (Ahyeon-dong)

Small convenience store in Ahyeon-dong under the sign Dwaejissal Supermarket (돼지쌀슈퍼), run at the same location since the 1970s by the couple Lee Jeong-sik and Kim Gyeong-sun. Traditional treats from the past are still sold there.

The scene : Sitting under a parasol in front of the convenience store, Ki-woo shares soju with his friend Min-hyuk (Park Seo-joon), who offers to replace him as Da-hye's English teacher, the daughter of the wealthy Park family. The entire story begins from this conversation.

3 Songijeong-ro 6-gil (Ahyeon-dong)

Seoul, South Korea

Steep neighborhood staircase, one minute walk from the convenience store at 32 Songijeong-ro; from the top of the steps, the view overlooks the rooftops of Ahyeon-dong.

The scene : With a catch in hand, Ki-jeong (Park So-dam) climbs this steep staircase in the alley next to the convenience store, on her way to the Park house. Later, on the night of the downpour, the Kim family stops there to catch their breath after crossing the tunnel.

86 Noryangjin-ro 6-gil (Noryangjin-dong)

Seoul, South Korea

Neighborhood pizzeria under the sign Sky Pizza (스카이피자), opened in 2002 and family-run, located in an area of Noryangjin promised for urban renewal.

The scene : It is for this pizzeria that the Kim family folds cardboard boxes, the small job that keeps them afloat. Later, Chung-sook, Ki-woo, and Ki-jeong sit down there to devise the plan that will get Moon-gwang, the Park's housekeeper, fired.

Seoul, South Korea

The scene : Surprised by the return of the Parks, who have given up their camping, Ki-taek, Ki-woo, and Ki-jeong escape from the villa and dash down the long staircase leading to the entrance of the Jahamun tunnel under pouring rain.

A 458 m road tunnel that connects Cheongun-dong to Buam-dong, in the Jongno district.

The scene : At the foot of the stairs, the family rushes into the tunnel and crosses it on foot in the rain, on their way to the basement.

Seoul, South Korea

Huam-dong Bridge, situated below Huam Primary School, along Sowol-ro at the foot of Namsan. Its name comes from Dojeo-dong (桃楮洞), the "neighborhood of peach trees and paper mulberries" from the Joseon period.

The scene : The descent in the rain continues down the stairs of the Dodak Bridge. Ki-woo and Ki-jeong argue there before the family resumes their journey back to their neighborhood.

Staircase alleys of Changsin-dong, a popular neighborhood where traces of the 1970s and 1980s still remain.

The scene : In a torrential rain, the Kim family continues their descent through the narrow alleys and steep stairs of Changsin-dong.

24 Seonjam-ro 8-gil (Seongbuk-dong)

Residential alley of Seongbuk-dong, an old affluent neighborhood of Seoul with large residences, sprinkled with cafes and galleries.

The scene : Ki-woo climbs this quiet and steep alley in Seongbuk-dong, searching for the Park house, where his tutoring interview awaits.

The scene : Yeon-kyo, Mr. Park's wife, fills her basket here for her son's birthday party, held in the garden.

Goyang Aqua Studio

The scene : The Kim family's semi-basement and the alley of their neighborhood were built in this studio, where the long chase in the rain also ends, when the family finds their home.

Jeonju Film Studio Complex

Jeonju, South Korea

Jeonju Film Studio Complex (전주영화종합촬영소), opened in 2008. It includes two covered studios, J1 (1,044 m²) and J2 (792 m²), and an outdoor set area of 48,888 m²; 88 films had been shot there in 2019.

The scene : On the outdoor set of the complex, the Park villa has been built: facade, ground floor, basement, and garage.

DIMA Film Studio (Anseong)

Anseong, South Korea

Filming studio (DIMA종합촬영소) of Dong-Ah University of Media and Arts, located in Anseong.

The scene : A part of the Park family's villa was reconstructed in this studio: the parents' bedroom, the dressing room, the rooms of Da-hye and Da-song, the corridor, the internal staircase, and the entrance of the gate.

Konkuk University Indoor Gymnasium

The scene : After the flooding of their semi-basement, the Kims spend the night in this gymnasium converted into a shelter for the victims; Ki-taek explains to his son that the best plan is not to have one.
