Boulogne-Billancourt film studios, located on the Quai du Point-du-Jour. Founded in 1922 under the name Studio-usine Eclipse, they became Paris-Studios-Cinéma in 1926 and then Billancourt Studios in 1933. Closed in 1992, they were demolished in 1995.
The scene : The filming opens in 1927 on the studio sets, where the courtroom of Rouen is rebuilt identically based on medieval engravings, stripped of any superfluous ornamentation.
