Adrien, a postman in the small village of Bilboquette-sur-Aude, is considered an invincible seducer, but he himself is sought after by Mademoiselle du Merle de la Tour, an old maid devoted to her faith who leads the choir. To escape her attention, Adrien goes to Paris for an improvement internship. By chance and the mischief of his colleagues at the P.T.T., he ends up at the boarding house for gifted individuals, a very special place where they strive to satisfy the whims of ladies starved for affection. Adrien is immediately hired. Meanwhile, Mademoiselle de la Tour does not give up and manages to track him down. Despite his reluctance and evasions, Adrien will ultimately introduce the old maid to the pleasures of love. Transformed, she changes the young girls in her choir into majorettes and then parades at their head, joyfully knowing that Adrien has just married her.
