The place
Original location of the Psycho House on the Universal backlot, occupied from 1959 to 1980. The set was adjacent to Laramie Street, a western street later renamed Industrial Street, Mockingbird Lane, and then Elm Street. The nearby body of water, Singapore Lake, has become Jaws Lake for the Studio Tour attraction, and the site itself has hosted the Chicken Ranch set since 1983.
