Brick terraced house built in 1920, in a working-class street of Kensington. Its facade has changed so little that passersby still recognize it from the sidewalk.
The scene : Rocky returns home after having beaten Spider Rico, gulps down his raw eggs before dawn, and leaves the porch to go for a run.
2147 North Front Street (Kensington)

A corner store that is one hundred twenty-five years old, located beneath the elevated subway of Front Street; the building has never housed a boxing gym. The gloves painted on the wall date back to the filming of Rocky V.
The scene : The front of Mickey's gym, the one in front of which Rocky learns that his locker has been given to someone else. Everything that happens inside was filmed in Los Angeles.

The J&M Tropical Fish pet store, opened in 1963 by Morris Marks and his son Joe, was run by the family that also owned the shop across the street. Closed in 2003, the building was demolished around April 2017; the fire hydrant on the sidewalk remained in place.

The Main Street Gym, boxing gym at 318½ South Main Street, between 3rd and 4th, run by Howie Steindler — often cited as the model for Mickey Goldmill — until his assassination in 1977. Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Muhammad Ali trained there. The building disappeared in the 1980s; the site is now a parking lot.
The scene : Everything Rocky does inside Mickey's gym was filmed here, four thousand kilometers away from the Front Street façade.
